Instructions for Netscape v7.2 Mail Users

These instructions are for users of Netscape v7.2.
Before beginning, please make sure that you have setup the accounts on
the mail server. Mail server access is at http://mail.wedohosting.com
- login using the user ID and password that were emailed to you when
you signed up. If you have lost that information, you can have it emailed
to the email account you specified when you signed up for services by
going here: https://secure4.wedohosting.com/customer/
| Step 1:
Open Netscape and click on
the "Windows" menu from the menu bar at the top of your
program. A drop-down menu will appear. Select "Mail & Newsgroups"
and you will be taken to the next screen.

| Step 2:
Click the link for "Create a new account", this will bring up a wizard to walk you through the steps.

| Step 3:
By default, the option for "Email account" should already be selected - if not, select this option.
Click "Next".

| Step 4:
The field for "Your Name" is what will display as the name of the person sending the mail - you can enter anything you like in this option.
The "Email Address" field is where you enter the full and proper email address for your account.
Click "Next".

You need to choose the "POP" option, it may already be selected by default.
The "Incoming Server" is mail.wedohosting.com
You will need to ask your Internet Service Provider for the name of their "Outgoing Mail Server" and enter that into this field.
Click "Next".

Step 6:
This is the most important setting - enter your FULL email address in the "Incoming User Name" field, that's everything before and after the "@" symbol.
Verify with our Internet Service Provider to find out whether or not you need to specify an "Outgoing User Name" in order to send your emails.
Click "Next".

| Step 7:
It won't matter what you enter the "Account Name" field, but typically it reflects your email address so that you can identify the account in a list if you have several different addresses that you check.
Click "Next".

Step 8:
This is a summary of your settings, if everything appears correct then go ahead and click "Finish". If not, go "Back" to the appropriate window and make any necessary corrections.
Your mail is now ready to go! |
