CHECKING YOUR EMAIL USING EUDORA 5.0 and 5.1
These are the instructions for managing your email services as a shared hosting customer of WeDoHosting.com andare designed to supplement the information we sent to you at the time you activated your account. If you do not
have a copy, please click here to have these details resent to the email address we have for your account.
Before you can setup Eudora to check your email, you will need to make sure you've created an email address on your domain name. We have step-by-step instructions located at this URL: Creating Email Addresses. If you have already created your email address, then follow the steps below to setup this address in Eudora.
| Step 1 |
Open Eudora and click on "Tools"
then select "Options".

|
| Step 2 |
From this dialogue box, fill in the
blanks as requested.
Real Name: Your real name |
Return Address: The account that you setup on our
system as above |
Mail Server (Incoming): mail.wedohosting.com |
Login Name: username%domainname.com Note: you MUST use the "%" instead of the "@"
email address. | SMTP Server (Outgoing):
relaymail.wedohosting.com | Note: You MUST choose the "Allow Authentication" checkbox
in order for this to work.

|
| Step 3 |
Select the Checking Mail icon on the left menu. Ensure that your login name says:
username%domainname.com
| The option for Check for mail every ___ minutes should not be set any lower
than 3 minutes. 1-2 minutes can result in an unnecessary
load on the mail server.

|
| Step 4 |
Select the
"Incoming Mail" icon on the left menu. It's a good idea to ensure that
the "Leave mail on server" box IS NOT checked. Each mail
account has a maximum quota of 50MB and if your mailbox fills up,
your email will just be returned to the sender letting them know
that your mailbox is full.
