A great question and we're glad that you asked.
Moving a website can be very simple or very complicated - depending
on experience, access to information and your website requirements.
Let's start off by explaining what information you will require
and why.
1. You must have access to manage your domain
name. Each domain registrar now has a username password combination
that each domain owner should have. You will need this information
in order to update your DNS server settings to point to WeDoHosting.com
(we'll address that later) - the important thing is that you have
your access information. If you do not, please contact your registrar
- in most cases they will have a "Lost Password" function
on their website for automated retrieval. To see what the one at
WeDoHosting.com looks like, please click
here
2. You'll need some information about your website.
The following items will allow your (and us) to determine what hosting
package will best suit your needs.
A: What was the website designed in?
Front Page, Dreamweaver, GoLive, Cold Fusion, MS Publisher or any
other number of design programs. - this is important to ensure that
the code used to design your site will be compatible with the web
server.
The main code languages that you will hear tossed around are:
"html"; (will work on any server)
"asp" (you will need a ASP.Net/Windows
package)
"Cold Fusion" (you will need a Cold
Fusion specific package)
"PHP" (you will need a Linux
web hosting package)
B: How large is your site?
A very simple way to figure this out if you are a Windows computer
user is to use Windows Explorer to view your files, then by right
clicking on the folder your website is stored in on your computer,
choose "Properties" and the results box will show you
how many MB your complete site is (including images). If you did
not design the site yourself, this will take your designer 30 seconds
to give you the answer.
C: How many visitors does your site currently receive per
month?
This is used to calculate the required "bandwidth" (the
data transferred from the server every time a visitor views your
pages). Sites with higher volumes of bandwidth really need to watch
their daily statistics that provide details of how many visitors
you have coming to your site and how many files (webpages) they
are looking at.
D: How many email accounts do you need?
You may actually not need any actual POP3 (storage accounts). Many
users prefer to have all the mail from their domain name forwarded
to their existing email account that they use for their ISP. Others
have multiple users that all have different existing email accounts
- the domain email can be set as an "Alias" (redirect)
to forward to those accounts. Or, you may wish to have actual POP
accounts for yourself or your staff. All choices are possible. Each
domain offers unlimited Alias/redirects at no additional charge,
however their are limits on the amount of POP3 accounts. The POP3
account service is favored for the FREE virus scanning and spam
filtering, whereas redirections do not have that option. The email
administration webpage has additional explanations for each feature.
3. Signing Up
Now that you have collected all of your website information,
it is time to sign up for services with WeDoHosting.com. Based on
the information collected, please review the available plan options

need to do is choose
the package that you want by selecting the "Buy Now"
button from the package choice. you will then go to the subscription
page where you will be asked for all of your contact and billing
information. All information is submitted on a https: form that
ensures a secure and encrypted web session - designed to protect
your privacy.
Once you have provided all of your information and verified your
purchase details, a receipt and access instructions will be emailed
to the email address that you provided when registering.
The instructions contain all the information that you will need
to update your DNS servers using the information that you collected
Step 1 and also how to FTP (move) your web files to our servers
and how to setup your email accounts.
It is that simple. Our servers review the signups every 15 minutes
and setup the packages as they are purchased automatically, You

recording this information are
available on a daily basis (updated overnight) - please review
these at least weekly to evaluate your web presence. Additionally,
we consistently are adding new products and will contact you from
time to time to let you know about them. If you would like to get
