Step 1:

1. With Dreamweaver open, click "Site" and then "New Site".

Step 2:

1. In the new window that pops up you will find the heading "Category" on the left-hand side; select "Local Info".

Enter the following information for the available fields:

2. Site Name: This will be the name of your site within Dreamweaver, it's simply used a reference in a list of sites configured for Dreamweaver access and does not impact the useability of your website. You can enter anything here.

3. Local Root Folder: Enter the path you where you will save your website on your computer. To browse for this location, click the folder icon to the right of the field.

4. Default Images Folder: If you plan to save your website images to a particular location, enter that here. Otherwise, you can ignore this setting.

5. HTTP Address: Enter the URL of your website. (http://www.domain.com)

6. Cache: Can be enable or not. It's faster when enabled.

Step 3:

1. Under the "Category" heading along the left-hand side, select "Remote Info".

Enter the following information for the available fields:

2. Access: Choose the option for "FTP" from the drop-down box.

3. FTP Host: this is your domain name.
Please note: if the site has only recently been registered or if you are transfering your site from another ISP you will have to use the host domain.com.wedodns.com. This will be the case until the name server information has propogated (24 to 48 hours).

4. Host Directory: If you have our Linux hosting, you will enter "htdocs". If you have our Windows hosting, you will enter "www".

5. Login: This is the username you selected at the time you signed up for your account. You can have this information emailed to you using this link: Recover Password

6. Password: This is the password you selected at the time you signed up for your account. You can have this information emailed to you using this link: Recover Password

7. Save: Check this box if you would like Dreamweaver to remember the password you have entered.

8. Use Passive FTP: Ensure that this box is checked.

9. Use Firewall: This will depend on whether you have a firewall. Generally this box will be unchecked.

10. Use SSH: We do not support this method of connection, do not enable this option.

You may choose to enable any other options without affecting your ability to connect to your site.

11. Click "OK". You are now set-up with Dreamweaver.
